Allison's allergies

We had Allison tested for a milk allergy today along with Eggs, Peanut and Dog. She is allergic to Egg. We had a skin test and the reaction was large but the Dr. does not believe that she would have anaphilactic attact from the egg. He said we should be ok as long as we don't feed her raw eggs or a cooked egg. She can continue to eat egg in baked products as long as no reaction continues. So we add another allergen to our diet in the Seiler home. Happy Cooking.

Truth in photos

I love this photo, it reflects so much reality.

Tommy is jumping from the wheel of the backhoe to show his strength. He is all about trying to grow up really big so that he can be bigger than dad some day. He eats a good dinner and references how he will be growing. In the morning he talks about how long he slept and that means he is growning. He drinks lots of water and makes a point to tell us that it is good for him and helps him to grow.

Sammie is needing assistance to lower herself down to the step of the tracter to jump. She wants to do everything Tommy does however we have to remind her that she is just 3 and sometimes she can't do everything that her older brother can. She talks a lot about, "Well when I am 4......"

Finally Allison, she watches her older brother and sister with intent and also wants to participate, so she holds a different type of hoe. She chimes in at all times, she wants to be where they are and if anyone is talking she begins to babble sometimes so loud that the conversation has to break until she is done.

Tommy at T-Ball

Tommy had his final game of T-ball tonight. He had a great hit, all the kids got trophies, and there was a cook out. When thanking Jesus tonight Tommy said, "Thank you for my super good hit, my baseball trophie and my hotdog." I was so proud of him. He looks tired below and that is mainly b/c it is about 90 degrees outside, 6 p.m. at night, and just prior to his hotdog. Tommy overheats quickly and it just zaps him.

Sammie

Well Sammie keeps me on my toes, I could not help but laugh a number of times today from her whitty comments:

1. On Sunday Tommy and Sammie both learned about Johna in the Bible. The lesson was to teach them that we all need to obey God and that since Johna did not obey God, he was then eaten by a big fish. So today Tommy was not being nice to Sammie and she yelled and I mean yelled at him, "Your being mean and your going to get eaten by a big fish!"

2. So we had to stop providing Sammie an open cup at meals because of the number of times she had spilled her milk/juice/water. We explained that except for her small glass of OJ at breakfast, she would no longer get an open cup. It had been a long time since she had spilled any drink until this morning. Sammie spilled her juice and she turned to me in tears. I cleaned her up, told her it was ok, and began to change her cloths. She then scolded me by saying, "Why do you give me an open cup everytime?" Somehow this became my fault and I realized how much of me resides in Sammie, I was so good at the blame game.

3. At lunch today Sammie told Tommy to stay away from her, "I have cheese in my belly!" Well that was not true, no cheese had been served in the house since the day prior. So I explained to Sammie that its ok, she does not have cheese in her belly. She then explained to me, "Yes I do! I ate it last year!" I think in her mind she was talking about lunch from yesturday. Of course that does not make a difference for Tommy's allergies but I do like that she is keeping an eye on things.

Allison and Daddy's Birthday

Allison and her daddy share a special bond being born on the same day 40 years apart. Today Allison turned 1 and Tom turned 41. Both enjoyed multiple cupcakes and fun opening presents with family. Below are some photos of the celebration... Allison in the Princess hat with Grandpa Francis

Responsibility

Tommy was allowing Sammie to play with a Pokie-man trading card that he received as a gift from the neighbor boy. He told Sammie the following,"Sammie, it takes a lot of responsibility to take care of a Pokie-man card." Sammie said ok and went on her merry way happy that she got what she wanted. Later tonight, Grandpa Francis was reading Tommy and Sammie a book about how the main character in the book wanted a puppy and it would take a lot of responsibility. Grandpa asked the kids, do you know what responsibility is? Tommy quickly answered, "No." Hugh?

Email

Tommy is growing up and starting to mimic his mom and dad in new ways. The past 3 days, when we have come inside after playing in the yard he makes his way over to the office and states, "I'm going to check my email." It is very cute and funny to hear him say the same phrase that Tom and I must have repeated to him a number of times. Today, while Tommy was checking his email he printed for me 17 pages of the Hunt's Recipes home page. Not a single recipe but a very colorful homepage with a lot of nice adds.

Parents put to shame by the 4 yr. old

So our kids will go into the office and play at the computer. They just keep clicking and sometimes they end up on PBS kids or Disney. Today Tommy called me into the office to see on the computer what he had pulled up. I had apparently left open a window with Walmart's web site. He pulled up and 48" plazma TV and said, "See now we can have a big TV too, not the little one." To fully understand this humor you would of had to been with us at the Stanley's house last week when Tommy got to see Mr. Mike's new big screen TV. He told the story about how Mr. Mike has the Big TV and we have the little TV at our home. Nice...., a 4 year old can notice the difference in a large TV vs our little 32" TV.
