Grandpa's Birthday

Tommy and Sammie love Birthdays, they are already talking about their next birthday and we have months away before either of them. Grandpa Francis was with us just before his next birthday so we make him a cake. Tommy wanted to make a Batman cake, his new favorite super hero (Superman is running a close second and Sammie won't get her Ken doll back any time soon for he make a great superman.) Sammie wanted to make a Princess cake. I finally got the two to agree that we should make a cake of Grandpa's favorite animal, a Pig. So we did and her you can see Sammie trying to sneak more frosting to taste.

Shoulder Rides

Tommy and Sammie love making baby Allie laugh. The other day Tom unexpectedly placed Allie on top of Tommy's shoulders. Allie screemed in glee and Tommy laughed as I tried to grab a photo of the moving target. Sammie then wanted her try in the fun. See the fuzzy photos below

Grandma and Gordy's visit

Grandma Alman and Gordy came to visit us and play with the kids. Below are two photos of our time in the basement where Allie was introduced to the bouncing Zebra. We all got a kick out of her enjoyment.

Our next Mrs. Fix-it

For those of you who know us you have come to realize that a lot of the fix-it tasks performed around the house are done by me with help from my father and/or our friend Mr. Mike Stanley. The other day Allie was 'fixin' the dyson when we had a little flash of flesh. I think we have a future Ms. Fix It.

I caught a frog

We have an egress window in our basement. As I was checking the condition of our sod planted around the window I noticed a frog down in the window dwell. I scooped the frog into a container and showed it to the kids. Tommy and Sammie were very excited to walk the frog back to the pond across the street and set it free. Tommy named the frog, "Marlin." We talked about the frogs color, and how he used to be a tad-pole. Great imprompt-to science lesson.
