Were going to see Jesus

Sammie and Tommy were playing with the dress up cloths in the basement. Soon they arrived in the kitchen to announce, "Were ready." I asked them, "wWhere are you going?" Sammie replied, "Were going to see Jesus." So I told them I would take a picture since they were so dressed up for such the special occasion. When I asked Sammie to stand up straight for the photo and get close to her brother she replied, "No mom thats where Jesus is standing." (Jesus is represented by the cloth hair band that Sammie is holding between her brother and her.)

So whoes birthday was it?

Allie's photo was staged, she was not introduced to frosting and graham crackers...

Well I am now one year shy of 40, ouch, have I lived half a lifetime already? The good news is that spending eternity with Christ makes age 39 look silly. So my good friend Elizabeth made me lunch and then all the kids made frosting graham cracker cakes and got to blow out candles.

So Grandpa helped Tommy and Sammie make my birthday cake. Tommy asked what type of cake I wanted, "A princess cake?" he asked? So I tried to pick something easy that they could make and help Grandpa with, so I chose a lady bug. I think everyone ate more frosting than any of the cake, Tommy had black teeth!

Are you sleeping?

For each one of our children I have modified a song to incorporate their names. We all know each others song and enjoy singing them all together. Below is Allison's song:

Unfortunatly being the thrid child we don't always get to follow a tight schedule and be home in time for naps so Allie is catching a one when she can.

Smiles are catching

One thing I love about being a mom is when my kids share a smile with me. I have to admit, my kids smile a lot and have big smiles. Wow they are so happy and I love that!

7 Months, who looks like who

I adore this side profile photo of Tommy and his grandpa. I was able to capture a side photo of Allie the other day that reminded me of the Tommy/Grandpa photo. They look very similar from the side.
