Allie's 4 month Appointment

Well good news and some not so good news. Allie is growing great, she is 15 lbs. and 14 oz., 25 1/4 inches long and a head circumference of 42.6. Here is how all 3 kids looked at 4 months old:
Height Weight Head Circumference

Tommy 25 ½, 17 # 5 oz, 41.7 cm
Sammie 25 3/8, 16 # 4 oz, 41.5 cm
Allie 25 ¼, 15 # 14 oz, 42.6 cm

Allie had some blood in her stool over the past few days and a small skin rash. The Dr. believes that Allie is allergic to milk. So to help her to try and grow out of this allergy soon, I am on a milk free diet. I really want her to grow out of this so that she does not have to go though what Tommy has to deal with.

Sammie's sing along

Today in the car as we were traveling to school, Sammie brought with her the Five Little Monkeys Sitting on a Bed book and began to sing the song. Here was her rendition: "Five little monkeys sitting on the bed, eating on the bed, mamma called the Dr., spinning on the bed, bumped his head, eating on the bed, four little monkeys, mamma called the Dr., No more monkeys, No more monkeys, No more monkeys, sitting on the bed, mamma called the Dr....." Well she got the right verses just not in the right order. It was too cute to hear and watch her hand motions as she tried to call the Dr. and shake her finger when she was singing No more monkeys.

Allie Rolled Over

Great news, today, just after Allie's 4 month old appointment (more details on that later), Allie rolled over! She has been trying to roll over on her right side but we found out that if she starts on her left side she is able to make it over. Here are some photos of her moment.....

Funny Comments

Today on our ride to church we were all singing Laurie Berkner. Tommy stops singing and says, "I'm going to drive to Grandma Gordy's house. And I will take that road (he points to a road we just passed) and go to New York and drive real fast, its far away." We have been talking a lot about Gordy since he recently had triple bi-pass surgery. I explain to him that he should not drive too fast or the Police will pull him over. (Both Sammie and Tommy were in the car when I was pulled over for an expired inspection.) Sammie was concerned and stated, "No drive fast Tommy." Sammie really likes to repeat the rules for her older brother. Tommy then told Sammie, "I not go too fast Sammie." to rest her weiry mind.

On the way home from church we were playing a new game where we were looking at the trees around us and pointing out all the beautiful colors. Sammie enjoyed pointing and saying, "Oh! Look at that one Mommy, it has pretty colors." Tommy joined in and so did I. We were all talking and pointing at the same time and then from the far back of the car we hear Tommy say, "Oh look at those pretty rocks." We were driving by a house that had a retaining wall with small boulders. Tom Sr. and I chuckled.

One more great quote from Sammie, that I have been holding off on telling you because I wanted to grab it in a photo, but no such luck. Allie continues to blow small bubbles and every now and then she drools. The other day and I was in the parking lot, talking to our friend Mrs. Elizabeth, when we hear Sammie from the car, "Momma!, Baby Allie is spilling!" Well I guess that is one way to look at it.
