Seiler Girls

Allie just makes me smile...

Allie loves hats.  This is a hockey helmet that Sammie made at Pre-school when learning about letter H.  Allie took it for herself as soon as we were home.

Here Allie is preparing her baby for potty training.  Did you know that when a baby doll has poops you need a whole container of wipes?  (And mom being preoccupied with making dinner.)
Small dance concert with the kids, Sammie the ballerina and Allie performing rap.

Gingerbread House

Tom was a guest at Tommy's school on Friday for the Gingerbread House making party.  They both had a good time, Tom's shirt amazingly came home clean however there were questions as to why he wore a white shirt to the party.  Tommy ate a LOT of candy.

Fender Bender

Well Allie and I got into a fender bender on Friday.  Accidents do happen, the woman behind me did not realize that I had not turned onto the main street and ended up bumping us from the behind.  Allie asked, "Did we get bumped Mamma?"  Yep....

Native American Day

Tommy had Native American Day at school this week and after he decorated his shirt Sammie wanted to join in the fun.    The feather in Tommy's head dress is a real Eagle feather found in WI by his Grandpa.

Halloween 2010

We had a beautiful day for Halloween, the kids loved dressing up and collecting candy.  Tommy was Batman, Sammie was a snow princess and Allie was Minnie Mouse.

Pumpkins are ready

This past Saturday night we 'scooped the goop'.  Everyone helped with gutting the pumpkins and then designed their faces for their pumpkins.  Then we roasted some pumpkin seeds, yummy, garlic salted pumpkin seeds.  Apparently only Karen enjoyes eating pumpkin seeds; however we all had fun carving.

Halloween Practice

We did a dry run on the Halloween dress up and grabbed some photos.  Allie will be Minny Mouse.  She is in a stage where she only wants to wear "Mickey" or "Dora" shirts.  She wore this outfit for a few days until we had to place it out of site so it would last until Halloween.  Sammie will be a snow princess, she has the crown however the rest of the outfit we will borrow from our friends the Stanley's.  Tommy is Batman and loves trying on the outfit every few days.

The summer with out rain

So it has not rained most of the summer so when we finally got some rain, we set up some chairs to watch so that  we would not miss it, for who knows when we would see it again!

Allie took a tumble in the garage and got a sizable bruise in the center of her forehead.  She still had smiles though!

Smiling Sammie!

Lots of Birthday plans

The day began with eating Batman cookies for breakfast.  Then a few photos and party toys and off to the bus stop Tom Sr. and Jr. went.  We sent Tommy with a box of the batman cookies to share and he was thrilled with the responsibility and that he could tell everyone it was his birthday.  At school he received an, "It's my Birthday" sticker and a picture book where each child in his class drew a picture of them with Tommy.  His teacher wrote him a special note and gave him a new pencil.  He received 3 balloons from us that were delivered to his class.  Then the whole family, Grandpa Francis too, met Tommy for lunch at his school.  We brought in pizza.  After school we ate a nice dinner, cake and ice cream and opened presents.  Wow he was on a high from all the excitement all day.  It is great to be 6!

Tommy's Peanut free table is where he and his friend Blake sit.  Blake joined us with the pizza we brought in for lunch.
Tommy's Lego Hero Figures
Tommy is now sleeping with his Lego Hero action figures.  Tommy requested that he got a piece of Robin's eye from the cake.  Tom got a piece of the hair, Grandpa got a piece of the red shirt, Allie and Sammie got a piece of Robin's cheeks and I was the boring traditionalist and took a piece from the side of the cake.  Poor Robin, he looks like somenone shot holes through him.

Tommy turns 6!

Tommy turns 6 tomorrow and he had some specific ideas in his mind on how things should go. He announced just before dinner that everyone needed to wake up before him and then we should all together wake him up and yell, "Happy Birthday." He told us he loves surprises so this is why he wants us to wake him up in the morning. :) Tommy also wanted Batman cupcakes for school and a Robin Birthday cake. Well the school frowns upon cupcakes but they do allow cookies so he was ok with that since we looked on line together and found some examples to follow. I won't say that I have talent in these areas however I think that you can determine that the cookies are Batman and the cake is Robin. Possibly the colors give it away and not so much my artistic talent. Sammie has now begun to think about what she wants for her birthday that is 6 months from now. Allie just chanted "Cake" all day since she observed it sitting on the counter all afternoon. Our plan for Tommy's birthday is to surprise him in the morning with a Happy Birthday wake up song, then allow him to eat his birthday cookies for breakfast, and open one present. Then at school he will get balloons delivered (a surprise) and the whole family including Grandpa Francis will meet him at school for lunch (another surprise.) Then in the evening, dinner, cake and presents. He should have a good day, I know he is very excited and I am so excited for him. Happy 6 years old Tommy, we love you!

Summer Silliness

We have had a lot of fun over the summer however we have not always captured it with photos. Here are a few fun times we were having around the house just being silly.
