Keep toddlers occupied

Well we had a number of people coming to the house to help us unpack, install the fridge, washer, dryer, assemble the desk and bed, install a radon emmissions unit, etc. I needed to work with them but keep the kids occupied and safe for Tom had gone back to work. So Tommy had been talking about his Tiger being sick and in need of a bandaid. (Wow, what magic bandaids have, they cure everything.) So I found a package of bandaids in the pile of boxes, sat the kids down and showed them how to apply them. They had a great time mending Smokey (Tiger) and Sammie's baby. Why the baby only got one bandaid and Smokey received so many I am not sure. A few of the bandaids also landed on the kids and their owies that were almost bleeding. (On the average day I explain to the kids that they are not allowed bandaids unless their are bleeding) Today we made a special trip to Target to get Allie some diapers and more bandaids. We now have Batman and Dora bandaids are we are ready for the next true injury.

Were In!

We have moved to Indiania. We still have boxes in many of the rooms but we are here and having fun. The kids love their new house and they have enjoyed the neighborhood. We ride bike every day and bring home lots of sticks, pebbles and other goodies from our trip. We have met some of our neighbors and the kids look out into the back yard to report to me on if the sandbox is 'open'. (Our neighbor has a great large sand box with really cool sand trucks) The kids are 'helping' unpack, they think it is like Christmas, what is in the box? Tommy even have genuine enthusiam, "Ohhhh, look, my shoes!" Too funny to watch their excitement. We are having fun.....

On going February Birthday

Sammie's birthday is February 21st and she turned 3 this year. We celebrated her birthday over the course of a week however she liked to talk about her birthday almost every day in February. Now that it is March we have moved on to talking about our move to Indinana. We finally made a count down calender for both the kids to help them understand that our move is only 13 days away! Wow!
